Strada Statale 231 Km 84, Centallo CNThe Besimauda farm was established in 2000 in the province of Cuneo in Peveragno at the foot of the mountain from which it takes its name.
Family-run, it is now in its third generation of farmers. It all began when grandfather Rino (Matteo) started breeding and trading cattle in the early 1950s.
Our mission is to produce high quality meat. We use only the best raw materials and carefully control all phases of animal growth. In this way, we can achieve a pink meat of extreme tenderness, delicate to the palate and low in fat.
Since the third generation of breeders, we have decided to take the most important step by adopting the ‘short chain’ policy: a healthy, controlled meat, with a short route from us (producers) to you (consumers). All following the ancient Piedmontese breeding traditions, paying the utmost attention to the native territory of the native heifers, the landscape and showing special care and attention to the animals. Our first strong point, of which we are particularly proud, is the great care we take in choosing the feed for our animals because, after all, ‘we are what we eat’. For our heifers we follow the diet of the ancient Piedmontese tradition, taking advantage of what our territory offers us: controlled cereals of the highest quality without the use of silage or by-products.
