The castle of Serralunga d’Alba is considered by many as one of the best preserved examples of a fourteenth-century aristocratic castle of Piedmont. Built at the top of a hill, beside a small Langa village, the castle overlooks the famous Unesco heritage vineyards, in one of the most interesting tourist areas, an area which also has the greatest development in the region. Without doubt, the castle is an indelible symbol of this landscape.
The building belongs to the state and is part of the Regional Museums of Piedmont. Three years ago, the manor was given to the Barolo & Castles Foundation, who manage it, and will open its doors on Saturday, March 19th for the new 2016 season.
It will be initially open, in March and April, during weekends and public holidays. Every Saturday and Sunday, the castle will be open from 11am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm.
Starting on May 1st, the castle will also be open on Monday, Thursday and Friday from 2pm to 6pm.
