For the second consecutive year the two tasting evenings organized by Strada del Barolo e grandi vini di Langa return to Turin: in the Snodo spaces, inside OGR – Officine Grandi Riparazioni, majestic industrial venue of the late nineteenth century, redeveloped thanks to a project of the CRT Foundation and returned to the city in 2017 as a new beating heart of creativity, culture and entertainment.
On 16th and 23rd February 2020, for two Sundays in a row, fourteen Barolo producers will take turn to offer the public of wine lovers from Turin a top quality tasting at “Dopolavoro”, Snodo’s cocktail bar. Snodo, the pole of attraction realized within the amazing project of the OGR requalification, consists in five areas for different uses developed in the large spaces of the industrial architectures, with a dramatic impact of the rooms, and the philological choice of their names that refer to the place industrial past.
For each of the two evenings the participants will be guided into a journey to discover the “King of Wines”, Barolo, that the producers of Strada del Barolo will personally present in its many facets, proposing the tasting of different crus and vintages.
The tastings will be paired with excellent food products from the Piedmont area: Agrislumeria Luiset cured meats, Il Germoglio dei Sapori artisan bakery and tastings of the prized Cuneo Cured Ham D.O.P.
Bothe evenings will be anticipated by a preview for those wishing to deepen the knowledge of Barolo and the great wines of Langa: “The Faces, The Hands, The People…”, a talking corner hosted by the sommelier Sandro Minella and the journalist Danilo Poggio, who will present and interview the producers.
