Pleasantly fruity and with excellent drinkability, Dolcetto is a versatile wine, which has many identities (there are 12 wines with denomination of origin produced with this vine), which adapts well to different foods: this is why the event program includes, in addition to the presence of the Dolcetto producers, also gastronomic stands. Here it will be possible to taste the products of the territory, experimenting with delicious wine&food combinations in a festive and convivial atmosphere with music, and enjoying the panorama and the pleasant evening breeze that in summer refreshes the village of Rodello.

The program will include in the first part of the day a round table on Dolcetto in the conference hall at “La Residenza” and in the early afternoon in the Battuti Church Theater a Masterclass aimed at the wine producers, led by the vice-curator of the Slow Wine guide Gabriele Rosso.

At 5.00 pm the tasting dedicated to wine lovers will start: the public will be able to access the event by purchasing a wine tasting pass at a cost of € 20.00 + commissions in advance or € 23.00 on site, which will allow them to taste all the wines present: with its over 150 labels, the “Dolcetto Street” is the largest tasting stand dedicated to Dolcetto in its various denominations and peculiarities, presented by 35 producers, consortia and associations from the main areas dedicated to this important vine, such as Dogliani, Diano d’Alba and Ovada. Visitors can build their own itinerary by thematic areas to deepen their knowledge of wine, territories and producers.

A space with tables and chairs will be set up in the municipal square to taste the wines and gastronomic products while enjoying the wonderful panorama of the Langhe and Roero hills. The evening will be animated by the music of DJ Silvia – Radio Cavour.

The following day, Sunday 16 June at 9.30 am at “Il Faro” restaurant, the blind tasting competition aimed at professionals in the sector will be held which will reward the best Dolcetto 2022.
